Super Llama: Llamas are awesome! (13)
My Bio
If you are a pet lover, like I am (2 dogs & 2 cats), you would know how much they mean to you, particularly if you don't have children. They become the babies of the family, spoilt rotten with treats, toys to rip apart, sleeping in bed with us and getting the best wash job after a fun filled day at the park! So why not capture those memories?

My two great loves are photography and animals, so it was about time I combined the two. I have been doing photography for years however I have always deliberately kept it as a hobby (my day job gets in the way!) and I think my pets have learnt how to pose with the amount of times I have had my camera in their faces. I am however a graphic designer so not only do I just take the photos, I do extensive editing to get that photo looking perfect.

Once-twice a month I also volunteer for a local pound taking photos of cats that have been abandoned, surrendered or are a stray in the hopes that showing their better side they have a chance of being re-homed. Thankfully my efforts are paying off and it is extremely rewarding.

I must say my speciality is cats and dogs however I am open to all kinds of animals and would be happy to accommodate the tiniest fury friends such as mice up to horses!

Please have a look around my gallery which is always expanding with new photos regularly. If you are interested in getting a petography package done either give me a call on 0418 489 680 or email me at leigh@sydneypetography.com
After the big move and getting all settled in, I kept up with the photography of Pound Cats (and still loving it!).  Lots more success stories are happening after the contribution that everyone is putting in...and there is only a handful of us. I have also started working with an organisation called Monika's Doggy Rescue which is a no kill animal shelter.  Previously at the pound I couldn't go over to the dog side because I would just get emotional so I stayed away from it.  However at Monika's I've been able to go in and help knowing they aren't getting put down.  I will be visiting Monika's every 3 weeks, lining up with my Pound Cats sched

I have just moved house so I missed out on seeing the kitties at the pound for the last few weeks until yesterday!  I had so much fun I completely forgot what time it was and spent about an extra hour playing around and taking photos.  Nice to see some new watchers, so welcome to you all.  As you would have noticed from my photos I take pics of mainly pound cats that need new homes.  This is my good deed for the animals.  :)  This is just a quick one from me as its late and I need my beauty sleep however there are more pics to come tomorrow as I still have some more editing to do!

I find it interesting that so many people I talk to make comments like 'oh I wish I had spare time to help out' when I let them know I volunteer at the pound.  It actually frustrates me to no end.  Don't sit there on Facebook for 3 hours on Saturday and tell me you don't have time!  What it comes down to it, is if people actually give a shit or not to give up their time for a worthy cause or to pack their time with useless crap. Every month, I volunteer once, sometimes twice to helping out with the photography so that equals to 3-6 hours a month.  That is at most, an hour and a half a week.  To those that are reading this, take a moment to t

Thank you very much for fav :)
You're welcome! Loved the pic, absolutely gorgeous. :)
I just love what you do. I really admire your cause and encourage you! **
Your photos are beautiful, and I admire your cause.
Thank you, I appreciate it...this round of pics weren't all that crash hot as I took a break while moving house so I was stiff and sore from that. I spent more time just playing and hugging the cats. :)
